Why is it that some Republicans who claim the moral high ground on "family values" seem to have a less than stellar track record in their private lives?

The latest in the long line of people who claim the moral high ground is Senator Craig. Against gay marriage and gays in the military, he was caught in the men's room acting inappropriately.
